Here's a quick look at what we're up to this month! First up is the Wander Down Music Festival!
On Tuesday, October 17th, we'll be performing at a charity event in Nashville called "Harvesting Hope," benefiting Open Table Nashville; an organization that was founded in 2010 as an interfaith homeless outreach nonprofit that disrupts cycles of poverty, journeys with the marginalized, and provides education about issues of homelessness. We are proud and excited to be involved with this great cause.
On October 21st, we'll be performing at the 5th annual "Driving 'Fore' a Cure for PH Golf Tournament," held at Riverwood Golf Course in Clayton, NC. The event raises money for research so that we can find a cure for Pulmonary Hypertension, which affects Noah's nephew, Jackson Wall, and so many others around the world.
And on October 22nd, we'll be performing on the Heritage Circle Stage at the North Carolina State Fair! Sets starting at 9:30 AM, every other hour with the last set starting at 5:30 PM.
A few weeks ago, Noah had the opportunity to sing ONSTAGE with one of her favorite bands. The band was America and the song was "A Horse With No Name." While she did accompany them on the famous "La..la..la.." portion of the song, she never learned if they ever did named that horse. Let's just say she couldn't get the song out of her head!
Last month we recorded a little snippet of a new song for Apogee Electronics, using their One Interface! Every instrument and vocal can be heard clearly with just this one piece of equipment! The tune is called "Lonely Mississippi Blues" and it was penned by our own Alex Conerly. It is the first of many new tracks headed your way as we continue to work on our next full length record! Stay tuned for updates and check out all of Apogee's amazing products at http://www.apogeedigital.com/!
Wow. June was a big dream that went by so quickly! In one month, we left our home in Nashville and played shows in Florida, Colorado, and California. Then we flew back home for a brief respite before jetting up to Alaska for the first time! We're here for the next few weeks, teaching kiddos in Seward and Cordova, with a few performances in the mix!
